My name is Jordan Casciato. I am Scott Glazier’s newest apprentice at Speakeasy Tattoo and I am very excited to be a part of Speakeasy Tattoo's story!

I grew up in Simi Valley, California and lived there until I went to college at UCLA. I was into music and art and picked up the alto saxophone at a young age. In high school I was so excited to be part of the marching band and perform for audiences. This led me to join the UCLA marching band and enjoy traveling with the band to various stadiums during college.

I graduated from UCLA with a major in Global Jazz Studies and was part of the Gluck Ensemble while I was there. The Gluck Ensemble is an audition based jazz combo that performs at charitable events. Through this experience I discovered I enjoy providing a service to the public. I introduced to tattooing through my sister and tattoos have been close to my family ever since. After experimenting at home and tattooing myself a few times I discovered my love for tattooing. I decided to pursue an apprenticeship and found Scott in the process. Through this apprenticeship so far I have already seen my own self growth and owe much to Scott and the team here at Speakeasy tattoo.

While I have not abandoned my love for music, tattooing has been calling me for a long time and I am excited to finally pursue it. As for music, I am in a band called LAPEC and I have also released a single called “Anything with You” available on all streaming platforms. I’ve found many similarities through art and music’s methodology, such as the relationship between expression and practice and how they influence each other. My intention is to take what I have learned from jazz and jazz expression and apply it toward art and tattooing to create the most original material composed perfectly together in harmony.
